Last post for tonight at the Reel East Texas Film Festival. Three more films screened. The first one, Waiting, was a comedy from Canada. Two old ladies at a bingo hall start a food fight. This film was very much in the same vein as our film, The Exit Bag. It gives me hope that our film can preform well at film festivals.
The next film, Texican, was a well written short about interracial relationships. The acting was excellent.
To close the night out, Catching Sight of Thelma and Louise, a feature documentary about how women related to the film. With all the current revelations about sexual harassment/assult in Hollywood and politics, I felt the subject was very timely.
My film festival education continues tonight with a mixer to network and make film contacts. Then I’ll do it all again tomorrow. I’ll post more then. Goodnight.
